About

Go Local Flathead is a complimentary guide to the unique and diverse locally owned businesses that help make this valley the “Last Best Place.” Each issue provides an insider’s perspective about the small businesses who define the character and spirit of the Flathead.

Launched in 2009, Go Local Flathead is published twice a year — a Spring/Summer issue, and a Fall/Winter issue. It is produced with the support of numerous volunteers and with the technical and organizing expertise of the staff of Citizens for a Better Flathead, a local nonprofit organization.

As technology evolves, so has the Go Local guide — most recently in Fall 2017. We’ve updated our look and our content to make it even easier to find local businesses for all of your shopping and service needs. From detailed business profiles to upgraded maps for each town, the new Go Local guide helps locals and visitors alike support the amazing local businesses that keep the Flathead vibrant and growing.

Visit our Why Shop Local? page to learn more about the benefits of choosing local.

This guide recognizes the value of all businesses in the community, but it is beyond the scope and scale of this publication to include businesses with national/international corporate structures. There are other good resources for those businesses, including Businesses for Social Responsibility (www.bsr.org).
